GLURAX AFT JEL Oral Mucosa Protective Gel

GLURAX AFT JEL is a 10 ml mucoadhesive gel that forms a protective film over affected areas of the oral mucosa. The barrier helps protect the area from mechanical and chemical irritation and reduce local discomfort.

Areas of use

The Instructions for Use describe local application for irritation caused by orthodontic appliances, trauma following dental procedures and accidental bites. The manufacturer additionally confirms local use for oral lesions associated with aphthae, angular cheilitis, dental procedures, herpetic stomatitis, orthodontic appliances, cheek/lip/tongue bites, herpes and Behçet disease. The gel does not treat the underlying cause. Persistent, recurrent, extensive, worsening or unexplained lesions require evaluation by a dentist or physician.

Directions for use

1. Rinse the mouth.
2. Apply a small pea-sized amount to the affected area using a cotton swab or fingertip and massage gently.
3. Repeat when needed at intervals of 3–4 hours. The manufacturer confirms that use may exceed four applications per day when this interval is maintained.
4. Do not disturb or remove the newly formed layer with the tongue. Leave it undisturbed for 3–5 minutes; the sticky sensation normally decreases by itself within approximately 2–5 minutes.
5. Do not eat or drink for 15–20 minutes after application.

Suitable for adults and children from 6 years of age.

Ingredients, warnings and storage

Ingredients: Glycerol Formal, Peppermint Extract, Silicon Dioxide, Sodium Saccharin, Eugenia Caryophyllus Oil (Clove Oil), Hypericum Perforatum Extract/Oil. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity. Temporary burning/tingling, altered taste or allergic manifestations may occur. Stop use and consult a physician if a problem occurs. Store at 15–25 °C.
